DAY ONE CAMOUFLAGE

I was told about the Day One line of clothing by my good friend Robin Parks. I was in the market for something that would keep me warm in the late season without the bulk of coveralls. Well, after him showing me his bibs and parka I was sold on ordering my own. The neat thing about the company is that they do not make anything until you order it. You give them your exact size and measurements, pick out the fabric and camo patterns, and they make it to your specifications. This is what I went with:

• Bibs:  In Mossy Oak Break Up, Fleece outside, Fleece liner, and I had them line it with Wind Stopper fabric.
   
• Parka:  Same

When I recieved my outfit I was like a kid at the candy store. I couldn't believe how toasty this outfit was. I had the opportunity to try it out for the first time last weekend in IL when the temps dipped down in the 20's. I carried the parka in with me to my stand and just wore the bibs, figuring I would put the parka on once I got cold. The bibs were so warm I only had to put the parka on for a short time during a brisk wind spell. The thing I like the most is the amount of warmth I get without the bulk. I also highly recommend the fleece outside...man is it quiet.

The outfit certainly was not cheap, but the way I look at it, you can't put a price tag on comfort. Order during the summer! It takes about a month to get your order.
